The park is situated in the northwest of the country, in the Albertine Rift Valley. It is the largest national park in Uganda and is known for its wildlife. The park was named after the Murchison Falls, which is a waterfall on the Nile River. The park is home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and hippos. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a wildlife reserve in Uganda. The sanctuary is situated in the Nakasongola District, in the north of the country. It was established in 1997 and is home to the white rhinoceros. The sanctuary is also home to other wildlife, such as hippos, leopards, antelope and different bird species.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the tracking

Wake up early and setoff from Kampala for your 3 days safari trip to Murchison Falls National

Park. On your journey to the park, you'll tour at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary at Nakasongola to track the endangered rhinos. This is your chance to see rhinos up close in their natural habitat. You will spend 2-3 hours trekking through the park and viewing other sights. Later head on to Murchison falls national park.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park experience

After early morning breakfast at your hotel in Murchison Falls National Park. Go for the morning game drives in search of wildlife such as lions, elephants, and giraffes. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of the falls. marvel at the power of the water as it cascades over the rocks.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala

Drive to the top of the falls, where the Nile reaches its maximum. The tranquil Nile will be seen here plunging itself through a tiny fissure to descend around 150 feet below, mixing up the noisy white water, an astounding sight! After here, you can proceed to drive back to Kampala.
